Quarter 4:
March-June
Drawing skills work: As children learnt about overlapping and size in drawing, they see how their compositions become more realistic. These two techniques create the illusion of space in drawing.

Also, through learning about linear perspective children learn to organize the elements in their compositions.

Purposes in art: The children learnt about the different purposes in art through this Quizlet flashcards set (https://quizlet.com/99653938/5-purposes-of-art-flash-cards/).
After this, they worked on free compositions while they illustrated one of the purposes of art.

Quarter 3:
January-March
Paper Mache Ice cream cones! The children made across a straight message: we love Ice cream! they did it exploring ice cream as subject matter for paper mache sculpture. The process included three stages. See the pics!
First, they built the ice cream cone structure out of paper and other recycled materials.
Second, they covered the structure with the paper mache.
Later, after the paper mache was completely dry, they painted a first coat of their favorite flavors-colors!
Then they drew the cone texture on paper...
Yummy!!
Leaf animals! Children worked in pairs to build an animal out of the leaf-like pieces given. They really enjoyed this activity as they learned about Eco-Art (art wh ecological or conservation purposes).
Can you see the animal?
Quarter 2:
October- December
Creating Texture in Drawing: Leaves texture project
As an attempt to develop students drawing skills, we have been exercising them in creating different kinds of texture. In this exercise, children were shown real leaves and and a close up of their inner structure to have them see their texture. They were then asked to draw and color a leaf on their own. See their beautiful leaves!! They did an awesome job!
Their final works. Fresh beautiful leaves...
