Quarter 4: March to June
* Art made by other people in other times:
-Mexican cave paintings: children learned about indigenous painting in Mexico and had the chance to create their own cave paintings!

-Egyptian hieroglyphs: Children began to appreciate the ancient writing system of Egypt. They learnt the word "hieroglyph" as they created their own.

-Egyptian Hats: Children learnt the word "pharaoh" as they designed and colored their own Egyptian hats in the classroom!

*Creating postcards: children enjoyed this activity where they had to scratch papers with their favorite drawings and color with watercolor pencils. It was fun!
* Exploring Paper Mache: children created soft sculptures out of paper mache, played with it and got to know this media for art expression, new for many.

Quarter 3: January to March
Clay work: children were allowed to play freely with this wonderful media.They loved it.
Guided Drawings: Children have been learning about hills, mountains and farms. In the art room we decided to lead them as they draw farm animals! Take a look!
Cardboard constructions: objects made out of cardboard and boxes pieces. This time, our artists are working on the facilities for Community Helpers. Soon, pictures of this project
Eco art: art done using materials from nature such as leaves, tree barks, small branches or sticks, seeds, etc.
Quarter 2: October activities
Fiber Art
Fiber art includes all works done with fabric and strings or yarn. Many crafts and techniques can be used to do this type of art, and this time the children were introduced to yarn stick wrapping. Take a look at what we did :)
Christmas stars wrapping:the children really liked this activity and many of them insisted in having them hanged on their home christams tree :) So, we will send them home soon.
